Nogah B. Helfant, Esquire has concentrated her practice in the
area of family law in Maryland since the year 2000. Ms. Helfant is
frequently appointed by the Circuit Court for Montgomery County,
Maryland to represent children in custody matters.
Ms. Helfant has completed the 40 hour divorce mediation training
workshop prescribed by the Maryland Rules of Procedure.
Ms. Helfant is a graduate of the University of California at Santa
Cruz (B.A. 1991) and Suffolk University Law School in Boston,
Massachusetts (J.D. 1994).
Ms. Helfant has been active in the legal community by providing
pro bono legal services to low income clients. Reported cases
include Campitelli v. Johnston, 134 Md. App. 689, 761 A.2d 369
(2000), and Walker v. Grow, 170 Md.App. 255, 907 A.2d 255
(2006).
Ms. Helfant is a member of Montgomery County, District of
Columbia, Maryland State and American Bar Associations.

Jewish Community Center Preschool in Northern Virginia since
2004.
Ms. Helfant is married to Robert Helfant, who works for the
Department of Defense. They are the proud parents of three
